FRED TENORIO, E.A.*After serving as a corporate accountant and Controller for such companies as Cargill and Ford Motor Company, Fred started his own public accounting firm in 1988. Initially focused on serving the Monroe, Michigan business community, the company expanded its tax preparation practice when it became the first accounting firm to offer electronic filing of returns in the Monroe area. He became an Enrolled Agent* in 2001 and has steadily directed the expansion of the firm’s tax practice, assisting clients in all 50 states in resolving their tax problems. Fred is committed to establishing a personal relationship with each client and serving their best interests in all accounting, tax preparation and business consulting needs.
RENA SHANAMANIn an effort to support the firm’s business clients, Rena joined the company in 1989 as its Marketing Director. In addition to assisting clients with business plans, marketing and promotions, she also is responsible for Ball, Shanaman & Tenorio’s marketing efforts. Additionally, Rena serves as a consultant in the corporate and special events industry, particularly in the world of motorsports.
STACY TENORIO, CPA/E.A.*Stacy joined Ball, Shanaman & Tenorio in 2005, became an Enrolled Agent* in 2010 and received her CPA license in 2012. She has experience in Corporate and Individual Income Tax Preparation, Financial Statement Compilation, QuickBooks Consulting and Payroll Taxes. She also assists and represents clients with resolving federal, state and local tax issues. Stacy takes a straight forward and honest approach with our clients. She believes listening and getting to know each client is important. Forming long lasting relationships with our clients allows her to develop the best action plans to address their unique situations.
HEATHER WEBBHeather joined our firm as an Assistant in June, 2010 and presently serves as our Accounting and Marketing Coordinator. Many of our clients appreciate her wry sense of humor. Heather earned her Associates Degree from Monroe County Community College, and is pursuing her Bachelor Degree from Siena Heights University in Accounting. Heather is primarily responsible for payroll, accounts receivable and new business development.
Kimberley joined the Ball, Shanaman, and Tenorio team in February 2017, serving as our Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. She is the first person that our clients speak with, either by phone or in person when visiting the Monroe office. She is committed to providing assistance to our clients on a timely basis. Kimberley is currently enrolled at Monroe County Community College pursing a degree in Renewable Energy.
* Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service awards because these individuals have earned the priviledge of representing taxpayers before the IRS by either passing a comprehensive test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee.
